Redwood Dish
carved redwood, tung oil finish - overall dimensions 14” x 5” x 1”
The mighty redwood! I inherited a few rounds from a redwood tree that was felled in Santa Monica many years ago and drove them out here to Detroit, and this dish that I carved is the last piece of it I have left. Carved thin in this orientation the dish is delicate, perfect for a few coins, or jewelry, or Potpourri (had to look up how to spell that one) - or a metaphorical container for your lightest hopes and dreams.
